Transportation, storage and delivery of hydrated lime, coal and coke to the steel works.
RFS have provided 50 sheeted containers and a container handler along with skelatal trailers. Operating on a small concrete pad of only 15m x 100m, the containers have a payload of 28 – 30t and can be transported on highway, it takes less than 2 minutes to unload a full container and reload an empty container onto a train. This replaces original road fed operation, thus alleviating long distance lorry movements and reducing emissions associated with this operation
